Who Are They?
Rebuild Semi-Independence operates under the National Family Support Service (NFSS) and provides semi-independent living placements for young people aged 16 to 18 in the Liverpool City Region. The NFSS offers a variety of services designed to help young people reach their full potential and transition into adulthood with the support they need.

Gil, the owner of NFSS, was in need of a new online presence within a tight timeframe. With no existing website and limited marketing materials other than a logo, the task was to create a brochure-style website from scratch. While working at a Liverpool-based design agency, we had previously designed a few leaflets for Gil, and these would serve as the foundation for the site’s overall design.

The main objectives were clear: showcase who NFSS are, highlight the services they provide, and simplify the process for referring a young person. Additionally, ensuring that the site was easy to manage on the backend without affecting the front-end functionality was crucial.

To achieve this, we:

• Used the leaflets as a guide for the design, keeping the visual language consistent with the materials the client was already familiar with.

• Created an interactive prototype in Figma, allowing the client to review and approve the design before development began.

• Selected engaging imagery to connect with the audience and convey the NFSS’s message clearly and effectively.

• Implemented a side navigation menu instead of a top navigation bar to reduce distractions and improve user experience.

• Maintained a clean, abstract layout similar to the leaflet design, reinforcing the brand’s style and ensuring consistency across the site.

The client had already written the content for the website, which allowed us to quickly create a sitemap and start designing the layout. By using imagery and a layout similar to the leaflets, we ensured the design remained consistent with NFSS’s brand. Once the client approved the design, we developed the website into a fully responsive WordPress site within one week.
